Going into its second season, the Maplewood Farmers Market offers a selection of local goods and food from the grill for an afternoon snack. The market opened originally to support local farmers who provide fresh, healthful and wholesome produce, but today, produce vendors are joined by sellers of creative sauces, honey, meat, eggs, flowers, bakery and artistic items such as jewelry, wood products and photography. Since 2002, the Sister Bay Historical Society has hosted a Saturday farmers market for Northern Door residents and visitors at the Corner of the Past Museum, where the farmyard around the historical buildings provides an ideal setting.
